The first thing to consider when choosing an indoor plant for your home is the lighting available. Most houseplants thrive with bright, indirect sunlight. That being said, there are also plenty that tolerate low-light conditions.
Our favorite low-light tolerant houseplants include: Pothos, Sansevieria (Snake Plant), and ZZ. These low-light tolerant plants also tend to be the most forgiving with watering as well. They prefer to dry out between waterings and will be fine if you forget a watering here and there.
